FLORENT VERDÈS

State-certified architect (Diplôme d'État) and scenographer, Florent Verdès graduated from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture Paris Malaquais — PSL in 2018. Trained in Beirut with Bernard Khoury, then within the studio of Georgi Stanishev in Paris, he has led an independent practice since 2019 at the intersection of architecture, scenography and art direction.

His graduation thesis, dedicated to the architecture of the Chanel fashion shows, earned him a personal invitation from Karl Lagerfeld to a

Haute-Couture show at the Grand Palais — a decisive encounter with scenographer Stefan Lubrina, with whom he collaborated for six years — Chanel fashion shows, royal ceremonies across the Middle East, the Bal d'Été at the Palais du Louvre for Sofia Coppola. He is also the author of a forthcoming publication with Steidl (2026), dedicated to the architecture of the Chanel shows at the Grand Palais.

THE STUDIO

The studio works across event scenography, boutique and commercial space design, interior architecture, exhibition design and art direction,

for luxury houses, cultural institutions and private clients.

For each project, a multidisciplinary team — architects, scenographers, craftspeople — is assembled according to the specific needs of the commission.

Authored work includes scenographies for Elsa Foulon — Red Narrative at Thema Art Fair, Palais Brongniart, Modern Rêves at Galerie Chamagne, Naked Lunch at Milan Design Week — interior architecture projects including a signature studio in Paris, conceived around a patinated aluminium floor, and a full renovation family apartment in Saint-Malo. The studio also initiated the curatorial project Safe Spaces, objects from…, a collective exhibition bringing together fourteen artists and architects at Espace Commines, Paris.

Collaborations include the Bal d'Été at the Palais du Louvre for Sofia Coppola, large-scale royal ceremonies across the Middle East, and some sixty podium installations for the Hermès métiers in Pantin — carried out alongside scenographers Stefan Lubrina and Georgi Stanishev.
